The mission of Callis Communications is to deliver cloud-based unified communications to organizations throughout the Southeast, providing them superior technology solutions and driven by passionate customer support.
History
Founded by Dean Parker, Callis Communications was originally started as a paging provider, formerly called Allpage, in 1999. In 2005, the company transitioned into a facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) and ISP provider, delivering hosted PBX and IP based solutions to small and medium sized businesses throughout the Gulf Coast region. During this transition, the company’s name was changed to Callis Communications to reflect its new direction. Derived from the Latin word, Callis (pronounced “Call-us”) stands for “path” or “pathway.”
In 2009, Callis developed into a cloud based unified communications company, providing hosted PBX, cloud-based telephony, data, security, email, and collaboration services throughout the Southeast. Also during this time, Callis became a founding member of the Cloud Communications Alliance. Currently, we are proudly serving over 400 customers throughout the Southeast. And for the fourth consecutive year, Callis Communications has been awarded as one of the fastest growing telecommunications/cloud communications companies on the Inc. 5000 list.
